Static Routes
Use this menu to enter static routes to other networks.
DHCP Server
Domain Names
Enter the Total Access 600's domain name and the primary and secondary DNS servers in this menu.

Adds this static route entry to the IP routing table
when set to <(6
and removes it (if it was previously
added) if set to 12
(def).
IP A
DDRESS
The IP address of the host or network address of the
device being routed to.

UBNET

ASK
Determines the bits in the previous IP address that
are used. If this is to be a host route, it must be set to
all ones (255.255.255.255).

ATEWAY
The IP address of the router to receive the forwarded
IP packet.
HOPS
The number of router hops required to get to the net-
work or host. Maximum distance is 15 hops.
PRIVATE
When set to 1

, the Total Access 600 will advertise
this static route using RIP. Setting to <(6
means that
the route is kept private.
DHCP M

, the Total Access 600 acts as a
DHCP server and will dynamically assign IP, net-
work mask, default gateway, and DNS addresses to
any device which transmits a broadcast DHCP re-
quest. The addresses assigned are based on the Total
Access 600’s own IP address and will be within the
same network.

The number of hours that the DHCP server should
allow the device before it is required to send a new
DHCP request. The default is 15 hours, and 0 repre-
sents an infinite lease.

sent.

Server used as a backup, in case the primary ad-
